The Song of Songs used to be called the Song of Solomon. This whole book is a love song, about a young man and woman celebrating their love, and celebrating that they have found each other. The comment “if one offered for love all the wealth of one’s house, it would be utterly scorned” reinforces the priority on finding a good spouse to go through life with.
