I’ve mentioned a couple of times that this year as I am going reading through the Bible, I am aided by a website/app/podcast called the Daily Audio Bible. If you are interested in doing so, the link is listed below. If you get the app, you can choose to go through from beginning to end as our Bibles usually are ordered, or you can choose “Chronological” – which I’m doing – and read the Bible in the order the different sections were written.
Last year, I was blessed to read through with the Help of Nicky Gumbel of Alpha. That resource is available at The Bible with Nicky and Pippa Gumbel, Classic Version, 2025.
Whichever one you choose, I am confident that God will build your faith and your faithfulness in the process.
Curiously, both are hosted by husband and wife. Both provide some helpful comments and seeds of prayer to help you take reading the Bible from an intellectual exercise to a spiritual one. Brian and Jill Hardin host The Daily Audio Bible. Jill reads for the Chronological edition, and always begins each day’s segment by saying,
