Spiritual Gifts from the Holy Spirit are vital to the health and well-being of our church and to our own personal and spiritual growth! Have you taken the time to ‘unwrap’ your Spiritual Gifts?
If not, PLEASE do so!
Once you know what your Gift is or Gifts are, don’t be shy! Let your church family know. Spend some time with others exploring the ways your Gift(s) can enrich not only your life, but the lives of others, both in the congregation and out in the community.
Spiritual Gifts are not our natural talents or abilities. Paul wrote in his first letter to the Corinthian church: “Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be ignorant.” (1 Cor. 12:1) He goes on to explain much more in that chapter. This message was not just for those early believers! It is just as important for us today to realize we have been gifted!
One way to begin discovering (or confirming) your gifts is to make use of a Spiritual Gift Inventory. This is just one way to help a person see how he or she has been gifted by God. If you haven’t joined others who have discovered their gifts, please pick up a copy of the Inventory in the church library, complete it, score it, and then return the summary sheet to the file in the library.
Investing the thirty minutes in this experience will bring new insights and opportunities for you. We encourage you to review the Servant Ministries (under Resources above) or pick up a copy at the Fellowship Hall Information Table.
