Worship The King

Good morning everyone,

In these divisive political times in our country, it is becoming difficult, if not impossible, to pass judgement on one side or the other.  I know I read someplace:  “Judge not, lest ye be judged.”  But on the other hand, I have much less of a problem making commentary on some issues.  You also have equal opportunity to comment, as long as your ‘reply’ or, dare I say it, ‘reply all’ buttons work!

Several weeks ago I read there occurred in our country well over 2000 “No Kings protests in cities and towns in all 50 states.  Are you ready for my comment?  I say they are wrong, because we do have a king:

“Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion!  Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” [Zechariah 9:9]

“The LORD will be king over the whole earth.  On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name.”  [Zechariah 14:9]

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”  [Matthew 25:34]

“On his (Jesus’) robe and on his thigh he has this name written:  KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”  [Revelation 19:16]

I am seeing the movement of God in this country, based partly on increased attendance at churches, but also on the examples I have seen of believers taking a stand on some of the political issues that so divide us.  Could it be that soon we will witness, or even participate in, another type of demonstration.  During our march we could carry signs that proclaim:

WE HAVE A KING!  WORSHIP HIM  AND HIM ONLY

Blessings,

Keith
