Love Ukraine Dinner & Presentation

Love Ukraine Fundraising Dinner & Presentation
Saturday, June 25 @ 6pm

The Missions Board in cooperation with the Wednesday afternoon Women’s Bible Study, is presenting “Love Ukraine,” an evening dedicated to raising support for the disaster relief efforts of Samaritan’s Purse in that war-torn country.

Pastor Peter Smith will be traveling to North Carolina earlier in the month to train for service on a Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) run by Samaritan’s Purse, whose international disaster relief efforts cooperate under the administrative umbrella of the United Nations High Council on Refugees (UNHCR) to coordinate such relief work.

After a full dinner featuring Chicken Kiev in the Dining Hall, the program will continue with Strawberry Shortcake dessert upstairs in the Fellowship Hall, where Pastor Smith will present up-to-date information about the work of Samaritan’s Purse in this area.

In Ukraine, Samaritan’s purse is operating an Emergency Medical Field Hospital, several mobile medical units, and an extensive distribution chain for both food and non-food items. Transitional Housing as well as Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities are provided wherever necessary.

The evening’s program includes a full chicken dinner followed by strawberry shortcake. A multi-media presentation will precede an opportunity for those in attendance to make tax-deductible donations to support the relief work in Ukraine being undertaken by Samaritan’s Purse.

The cost of the dinner is $12. Reservations are requested: please RSVP to 781-293-7997 or at office@fcchanson.org
